Does't matter

The Ecsatatic Faith of Rumi has great quotes of Rumi's work.

Many of them has a Zen's koan kind of feeling:

Come to the orchard in Spring.
There is light and wine, and sweethearts
in the pomegranate flowers.

If you do not come, these do not matter.
If you do come, these do not matter.

  1. The last comment in Chinese surprised me. I am not sure if the user put this on purpose. I asked a friend to translate for me, and I was told that it goes like this:
"Love is a sort of invention. 'Cause you have to improve it constantly. But you can't get patent for it and it can be grabbed by someone at any time."
If the user who wrote the original can elaborate, I will appreciate.
